JakeReviewz - Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Movie Review

Well, hello there readers! Yesterday I went and saw a movie with my family. Let me say, it was quite a show. I saw Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I know it's kind of a kid's movie, but I was curious, since everyone around me at school was reading the books. Let me start with the positive aspects of this movie.

1.Very comedic
2.well thought out plot and story line
3.motivational and had a message

And now for the negative aspects

1.made for a younger audience
2.Lady in the ninth row needed to shut up.(SERIOUSLY LADY!!)
3.Popcorn was mildly stale
4.weird combination of animation and real humans.
Here' s the summary...

The story tells of how a young boy, Greg Heffley and his best friend, Rowley, begin the first day of Junior High together. Greg is a short kid for his age, and worries too much about fitting in and not enough about being himself. He is embarrassed how his friend is “not middle school ready”. Rowley,
is , well, not very mature. He has a “childish” room made complete with a space ship shaped twin bed.
So Greg tries to “fix” Rowley by changing his style, changing his vocabulary from saying “wanna play after school” to “yo, wanna hang later??” and not to mention, the way he acts. Rowley at first accepts these attempted changes, until the “event” occurred. That event was when Greg accidentally breaks Rowley's hand while playing a game involving a football and a big wheel tricycle. Rowley then gets kicked off the safety patrol club at school, and it goes all down hill from there for Greg. Rowley basically shuns Greg until Greg and Rowley finally make up. Go and see it for yourself if you want to see how it ends!!!!

So, overall, it was a sweet movie. Motivational and inspiring for all the little kids who watched that movie. So bravo to the producer and director, and to Jeff Kinney for writing the books in the first place!

My rating of 10:
9.5– mainly because of my age comparing to the targeted audience's age.
I would definitely take your kid to this one!!!

Well, thanks for reading, and I'll see you guys next Saturday with a review of one of my favorite social networking sites/apps, Foursquare.
